Dan is a native of Silver Spring, Maryland and a 1983 graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance.  Dan also earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA), while serving as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Minot, North Dakota.  Dan lives in Negaunee, Michigan with his wife Lori and children, Nickolas and Abbi.

Dan has been involved in the financial services industry over 14 years and earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) professional designation from The American College of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.  Dan’s job within Union Financial allows him to assist clients in obtaining their financial goals and objectives by helping guide them on the proper allocation of their investment and insurance products.  Dan’s areas of specialization are retirement distribution planning, tax advantaged investing, and estate planning issues.

Dan has been involved in many community organizations.  He is a Rotary Club of Marquette Board member and Past-President.  He has also been steady influence in the creation of the K.I. Sawyer Heritage Air Museum (KISHAM).  In his role as President of the Air Force Association Chapter 238 (Lake Superior Northland) he has supervised the restoration of numerous static display aircraft, the ongoing operations of the KISHAM, and the coordination of these activities with the local Air Force ROTC detachment at Michigan Technological University.  Dan was honored with the Medal of Merit for his work from the Air Force Association.  Finally, Dan is an active member in Immanuel Lutheran Church and serves as Treasurer and Confirmation Group Leader for this organization.
